What a Lovely World: The USA political Arena July 2020......................ready set go RESET THE WORLD NOW!
Submission Statement: In times of 'great' trouble/upheavel it is supposed to Man's inner spirit to break loose from their bonds and come together to fight the 'evil at hand. Over the centuries 'We Have Seen' such times of Rebound and Spirit.
HEALS Act - More like a ''HEEL above your body'' Act / HEROES Act - More like a ''Pre-Election Pitch to Heavy Handed Donors'' Act
'' Congressional rescue package would be a good idea. But tucked into the latest proposals from Democrats and Republicans are a slew of provisions that don’t have much to do with a public health crisis. Republicans want $29.4 billion for fighter jets and other military spending and $1.75 billion for a new FBI building in the same spot the agency currently occupies, near one of President Donald Trump’s hotels. Democrats propose $136.6 billion for state and local tax breaks for high earners and expanded access to banks for cannabis companies. For now, anyway, the two sides are nowhere near a deal. Meanwhile, millions of Americans just saw their weekly unemployment benefits shrink by $600. And 30 million Americans said they didn’t have enough to eat at some point last week. '' courtesy of Bloomberg evening briefing
This black sister of Tennessee has the 'NERVE' to claim: “It is believed that if I were not in the position that I'm in, that if I did not champion the voices, the views and the faces that I represent, that I would not be in this moment right now,”
'' Tennessee state senator charged with stealing federal funds: Robinson, a Democrat elected to the General Assembly in 2018 from a Memphis district, is also the director of The Healthcare Institute, which provides training for jobs in the health care field, prosecutors said.
The Memphis-based school received received more than $2.2 million in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Over a four-year period, Robinson paid herself $169,134 more than she was allowed to under salary amounts permitted by the federal grant

1: Katrina Robinson used the school's funds to buy a Louis Vuitton handbag for $550.
2: Purchased for her house, including a wrought iron front door valued at more than $5,000
  1. Federal funds were deposited into the school's bank account for its operations, then the funds were then “commingled indiscriminately with personal expenditure for the benefit of Robinson and her immediate family

Stimulus Payments and the Connection to 'PREPAID DEBIT' cards.
PREPAIDS
Some people concerned about the scourge of debit and credit card fraud opt to purchase prepaid cards, which generally enjoy the same cardholder protections against fraudulent transactions. But the NYU team found compromised prepaid accounts were purchased at a far higher rate than regular debit and credit cards.
Several factors may be at play here. For starters, relatively few prepaid cards for sale were chip-based. McCoy said there was some data to suggest many of these prepaids were issued to people collecting government benefits such as unemployment and food assistance. Specifically, the “service code” information associated with these prepaid cards indicated that many were restricted for use at places like liquor stores and casinos.
“This was a pretty sad finding, because if you don’t have a bank this is probably how you get your wages,” McCoy said. “These cards were disproportionately targeted. The unfortunate and striking thing was the sheer demand and lack of [chip] support for prepaid cards. Also, these cards were likely more attractive to fraudsters because [the issuer’s] anti-fraud countermeasures weren’t up to par, possibly because they know less about their customers and their typical purchase history.” courtesy of https://krebsonsecurity.com/

Three Way Trophies and why we need more of them.

The coolest trophy in all of college football is the three way trophy. The Commander-in-Chief's Trophy between Army/Navy/Air Force and the Michigan MAC Trophy between Easter Michigan, Central Michigan and Western Michigan are the only ones currently active, but we need more. What's more is that we could even have four way trophies that would be a ton of fun.
The Florida Cup(Miami/Florida/Florida State) and the Beehive Boot(BYU/Utah State/Utah) are semi-active, but they should happen almost every year.
Potential ones that would be easy and wouldn't require realignment:
Cascadia Cup - Technically the name of an MLS Trophy, but we will steal it because it fits so well, Washington, Washington State, Oregon and Oregon State. Makes too much sense.
California Cup - Stanford, USC, Cal and UCLA already play each other every year, even in different divisions. Simple.
Ohio MAC Trophy - Akron, Kent State, Ohio, Bowling Green and Miami are all in the MAC East. Toledo being in the MAC West. Swap Toledo and Buffalo, and the MAC East is essentially a six team trophy already, but that's sort of cheating. Without changing anything, Ohio, Akron and Kent State can have and Eastern Ohio MAC Trophy, and Toledo can play Bowling Green/Miami every year to create a Western MAC Ohio Trophy.
Something that divisional realignment would easily solve:
ACC Carolina Cup - Wake Forest, North Carolina, Duke, NC State. Duke/NC State and UNC/Wake Forest don't play each other every year, but because of the 8 game schedule, they all need to be in one division. Trade WF/NC State with Georgia Tech/Miami. Simple.
After this, it's pretty hard, but I thought of a few ideas that some creative and dedicated AD's could make happen:
Indiana Infighting - Notre Dame, Purdue, Ball State, Indiana.
Ohio River Trophy - Louisville, Cincinnati, Miami (OH), and Marshall.
Appalachia Cup - Tennessee, West Virginia, Appalachian State and Virginia Tech.
Coal Country Clash - West Virginia, Pitt, Penn State.
Rocky Mountain State Rumble - Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming.
South Florida Showdown - Miami, FAU, FIU, USF.
New England Cup(Lobster Roll Championship) - UMass/UConn/Boston College.
Mississippi Delta Madness - ULM, Memphis, Arkansas State, and Ole Miss.
Texas Is Not Quite Back Grand Prix - Cal, Kansas, Maryland.
Lone Star Holy War(Televangelist's Threeway) - TCU/BayloSMU.
Bay Area Rent Control - Cal, Stanford, San Jose State.
Oil Refinery Open - Texas A&M, Houston, Rice.
Red Dirt is Better Than Nashville Country - Tulsa, North Texas, Texas State.
Alabama Afterthoughts Altercation - UAB, South Alabama, Troy.
Battle for the Walter White Corridor - UTEP, New Mexico State, New Mexico.
Cocaine Cup - SMU, Miami, Arizona.
Amtrak Delay Derby - Boston College, Rutgers, Temple.
The I-10 Waffle House Tour - LSU, Louisiana-Lafayette(I guess just Louisiana now?), South Alabama and Florida State.
Rocky Mountain State Rumble 2.0 - Colorado State, Utah State, and New Mexico State.
Rocky Mountain State Rumble Version Family Values - BYU.
Battle for Myrtle Beach(Kenny Powers Cup) - Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina.
Branson With Your Grandparents Lottery - Tulsa, Arkansas, Arkansas State, and Missouri.
Bottle Service Bonanza - San Diego State, Arizona State, and UNLV.
Hill Country Hullabaloo - Texas State, Texas, UTSA.
Shootyhoops Showdown - Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana.
New Yorker Invitational - Miami, Arizona State, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina.
Californian Invitational - Nevada, Washington State, Boise State.
Bachelorette Party Brawl - UNLV, Vanderbilt, Miami.
Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, Twitter Edition - Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force.
Big 12 Reject-a-palooza - UCF, Houston, BYU.
Our God is an Awesome God Grand Prix - Baylor, BYU, Notre Dame.
Casino Money - Oklahoma, Louisiana Tech, Tulane.

I know I didn't get all 130 teams in, but it was hard. Any other suggestions welcome.

DOGEhio + SHIBEissippi River Adventure - Day 48 - Casino, heavily medicated strangers, into the wild

The Mississippi river knows only one speed... Super fast forward. We attempted to stop in a small river town 100 miles from Memphis Tennessee this morning because there are basically NO river towns until that point. Unfortunately, being a small town in the heartland of America - EVERYTHING was closed. Ironically, the only thing that was open was the River Boat Casino. Go figure.
This lead to the inevitable football watching + food inside the casino. I feel before this trip I was truly oblivious to how polluted our culture is in the United States. I could site many examples from observations acquired within the walls of the casino, but instead I implore you turn off the sound on your television and just think about what we are "programming" the minds of the youth with.
Of course they are going to grow up knowing nothing but sex, drugs, and rock and roll. That brings me back to the casino. . .
So, choosing sobriety and slick conversation, I watched Yoda's beer consumption unfold. He ended up speaking with an interesting gentleman trying go trade cigarettes for beer. Yoda traded. The moment after the trade the bartender realized what happened. Yoda had accidentally traded a man on the "no alcohol list" some beer. According to the bartender this man was heavily medicated and we had just unknowingly opened up Pandora's box.
This gentleman stuck around and made football WAYYYYYYYY more exciting. I was cracking up most of the game. Unfortunately I have no crazy unexplainable legends to report other than great comedy from this fellow (yet)
The games went on so long, and the food was so delicious, that we decided we might as well stay in town one more night. This way I could purchase a mosquito net before Memphis. The mosquitoes in the south are the size of humming birds. They buzz 2x as loudly. They suck pints of your blood within seconds. They form clouds at night and swarm you. They are immune to insect repellant.
I guess it doesn't help that I shipped back my tent. Lol horrible timing. Mosquitos on the Ohio were no problem - but Mississippi Mosquitoes will suck your soul.
Another Mississippi river danger priorly unmentioned - Mississippi Mud... Aka SUPER quicksand... Aka DEATH PUDDING! one false step and you are up to your fun parts in mud. . . and still sinking! I talked to an old steel worker while watching the game and he said his friend died paddling down the Mississippi. It appeared a barge wake through him into death pudding and he never came up. I stepped in some today and I can certainly see how that could happen.
Anyway, another day on the river poof gone. I fear the stretch from here to Mississippi may leave me with no cell signal. If so fear not. I won't succumb to the death pudding.
On a final note... Keep the funding to the Dogecoin t.v. commercial rolling in! We have had funding every day the campaign has been active. I have been contacted from multiple Shibes saying they have already begun working on their commercials! The best idea I have heard yet was to aim for an ESPN ad WHILE the Dogecar is racing in the future. BOOM! Could you imagine!? To fund the campaign and learn more click here -
